Black Jamaican Castor Oil Saved My Life

I think we can all agree that moisture is a must if we want soft, beautiful strands. For the longest I’ve always done hot oil treatments at home to help restore and protect my hair! It all started with **Okay Pure Naturals** Black Jamaican Castor Oil. When I tell youuu, it really helped repair the breakage! Just 20 seconds in the microwave and apply from scalp to ends and the results are pretty stellar!
Castor oil has amazing benefits. It’s anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and also very hydrating. It grows from the seeds of a plant called ricinus communis, or castor beans. It can help treat some dermatological issues and can boost hair growth as well! I talked about their products on my Insta a few months ago and **Okay Pure Naturals** was so kind to send me other products to try! they’ve got everything from men’s products to baby care, from shin treatments to henna! Here’s what I thought about the products I tried personally:

OKAY Black Jamaican Castor Oil and Lavender Oil Shampoo | great scent! my favorite part is that it’s sulfate free and great for removing oil build up. one thing I noticed is that it doesn’t strip the hair into a rubbery oblivion! I was really relieved at how soft it felt during the wash.

OKAY Black Jamaican Castor Oil and Lavender Oil Conditioner | this conditioner was interesting. I really love that it’s not too greasy #1 and that it helps restore my ends #2. overall, it did it’s job. I could feel the conditioner penetrate so my hair felt more malleable after the shampoo.

OKAY Black Jamaican Castor Oil Moisture Growth Leave In Conditioner| this leave in is the bee’s knees! the formula is light and sweet. I use it as a heat protectant before blow-drying. it helped keep the moisture locked in. definitely a good basic product for everyday use.

Black Jamaican Castor Oil Hot Oil Treatment | this one gave my hair life. it’s my favorite product out of all of the okay pure naturals line! It gives my hair a super silky shine and doesn’t leave any residue.

OKAY Black Jamaican Castor Oil® Curl Enhancing Hair Sorbet | this is what I use on my no heat days. I apply it to my damp hair for a natural curl / wave. it’s also good to use with a diffuser if you’re looking to create dry waves. I love this product because it’s 7.25 oz and so it’s going to last me at least 6 months! also no sulfates or parabens so that’s a plus!
