TATCHA FOR THE NEW YEAR | HERE’S A LITTLE SOMETHING I’VE BEEN LOVING.

IMG_4947.JPG

GOING FOR THE GOLD

i hope you’ve had a very wonderful and merry break! i enjoyed my time off but have dedicated my efforts on a completely new design for life on a mat! i hope you love it. i hope you keep coming back for more all year long! thank you for all of your support for the last two years. your continued support has made me a better human, i feel closer and closer to my purpose everyday. ♡

2018 was a year in which i made many mindful choices. for both my career and personal passions, it was the year of the hustle. i made every month count like it was my last. that’s what i’m most proud of when i look back on my progress. i didn’t waste time waiting for things to happen, i simply put my best foot forward, no short cuts. i made a point to travel, to face my fears, to really live without regret. i experimented and worked from a curious mind, trying an array of cuisine, new looks and products unique to me. i studied myself and took more risks. i was going for the gold!

and with all of that hard work put in and as a girl on the go, i am always looking to find little treasures, products that make me feel relaxed from the inside out. as i get older my taste is always changing simultaneously with my routine. but my love for soft lips has not! at the end of the night, i love to wash off the day and give my skin the care it needs, from my eyes and cheeks, to my lips and neck.

so often we don’t allocate enough time to look at our regimen and adjust our products as we discover what works. we forget about hydration. self-care is about making time for yourself and also indulging in beautiful things every now and then. if no one has told you yet, know that you deserve to go for the gold. you are worthy of good skin care + a peaceful routine. whether it’s the early hours of the morning or late into the evening when everyone is asleep, you are worthy.

when it comes to buying luxe, i believe that it should be a special moment when you are drawn to something for it’s aesthetic or the properties it contains. it’s because you feel a connection to it. it should not be an everyday purchase. rather it is something that makes you feel your best self and not because it’s trendy.

the tatcha camellia gold spun lip balm is my personal new year’s treat. i was drawn to the elements of gold and camellia. camellia oil is a wonderful emulsifier and is very therapeutic. i thought it was a lovely pairing. i love lathering my lips before going to bed with this product. i’ll even put a tiny amount on my cuticles. these winter months are hard on the exposed skin. but by utilizing those 12 hours before the next work day, i can repair my pout. i feel such a difference in the hydration of my lips when i wake up in the morning! it’s my little something to look forward to. i love that tatcha’s founder centers her brand ethos around philanthropy and inner beauty. it’s a good feeling knowing that her products support young women around the world.

DEAR 2019

my 2019 is about practicing balance, better self-care, and just embracing our personal routine. our regimens should be filled with self-love and serenity. some of my goals include good skincare + greater intake of proper nutrients. i’m looking forward most to the new experiences waiting for me and my loved ones. at nearly 29, i’m focused on my purpose. life on a mat will only continue to grow! to say the least, teaching yoga has been one of the greatest accomplishments of my life. i hope that i can continue to guide + inspire.

as we enjoy this new year, my wish for you is to pause every now and again to enjoy something you love. live your life with balance and beauty. stay blessed.

xoxo - jasmine
