WAKANDA FOREVER

IN CELEBRATION OF BLACK HISTORY MONTH, I GOT REALLY INSPIRED BY ALL OF THE FANDOM AND PEOPLE THAT CAME TOGETHER FOR THIS AMAZING BLOCK BUSTER HIT. I'VE BEEN WANTING TO SHARE THIS RECIPE FOR A FEW WEEKS NOW! I USED INGREDIENTS THAT ARE BOTH HEALTHY BUT ALSO INCORPORATE THE DEEP DARK COLORS OF WAKANDA!

I'M SO PROUD TO BE PART OF THE CULTURAL PHENOMENA OF THE BLACK PANTHER MARVEL MOVIE. THERE WERE SO MANY GOOD THEMES WITHIN THE STORY. THE BIGGEST LESSON I LEARNED WAS THE IMPORTANCE OF A VILLAGE THAT RAISES IT'S "CHILD". IT'S SO CRUCIAL TO BE A PART OF YOUR COMMUNITY AND TO NOT LEAVE OTHERS BEHIND. WHEN YOU STOP CARING FOR OTHERS, IT BECOMES A DETRIMENT TO SOCIETY OVERALL. THOSE ARE THE LESSONS WE TOOK FROM OUR GREAT LEADERS LIKE DR. KING, NELSON MANDELA, AND SOJOURNER TRUTH. I THINK IT'S AMAZING THAT WE ARE SPREADING THIS KIND OF POSITIVITY AND DIVERSITY WITHIN THE MOVIE BUSINESS, HOLLYWOOD, AND AROUND THE WORLD.

TO ME, BLACK PANTHER WAS FULL OF PRIDE, A CHANGING OF PERSPECTIVES, A REVERSAL OF STEREOTYPES. I'M SO EXCITED TO SEE WHAT WILL HAPPEN IN THE NEXT SERIES! KEEP READING TO SEE THIS DELICIOUS RECIPE!

THE RECIPE

 

INGREDIENTS

  • COCONUT OIL

  • DARK CHOCOLATE MORSELS

  • CORN KERNELS

  • VANILLA SUGAR

  • BLUE SPRINKLES (FOR WAKANDA)

  • ACAI POWDER

INSTRUCTIONS

1. IN A LARGE POT, POUR IN YOUR COCONUT OIL TO FULLY COAT THE BOTTOM OF THE POT.
2. SET THE TEMPERATURE FOR ABOUT 175 DEGREES, OR MEDIUM HEAT. THEN ADD IN THE KERNELS.
3. USE A WIRE COVER OR LID TO KEEP THE KERNELS FROM JUMPING OUT. IN THE MEANTIME, MICROWAVE THE MORSELS UNTIL FULLY MELTED.
4. POUR THE MELTED DARK CHOCOLATE INTO A PLASTIC CONTAINER. USING A SPATULA, SPREAD IT AROUND AND COAT THE CONTAINER.
5. ONCE THE POPCORN IS READY, POUR IT INTO YOUR CHOCOLATE CONTAINER. SHAKE IT UP! USE YOUR HANDS TO MIX IT AROUND.
6. ADD A LITTLE SPRINKLE OF ACAI POWDER (NOT PHOTOGRAPHED) FOR ANTIOXIDANT GOODNESS. ADD IN THE BLUE SPRINKLES AND A BIT OF VANILLA SUGAR FOR FLAVOR.
7. PUT THE POPCORN ONTO A PLATE TO DRY FOR 15 MINUTES. ENJOY!
