Goodbye Summer Solstice

I’m never too sad to say goodbye to summer, especially if you’re a Texas native. This summer has been an eye-opening season as I get a grasp on my goals and work towards them each day. I’ve been feeling a little more centered lately and I realize how much work I have to put in just to find that inner peace we’re all seeking. I think after the planning, traveling, and organizing, I finally got my butt into a yoga class and I felt whole again. I felt “home” and a sense of calm.

When I reflect on my sense of style this past year, I feel that I’ve been in a bohemian phase. It’s true, what you put on your body can affect your mood and outlook. I love to feel like myself in my wardrobe. I put together a transitional lookbook based on a contemporary, calm, sophisticated feel. I wanted to express another side of my mood through warmer tones and satin patterns. I’m excited to dress these looks up or down this Fall with a leather jacket or dark denim!

I’m also thinking about doing clothing hauls and posting them here via video. I’d love to express myself in realtime and upload them to show my personality a little more. I’ve ALWAYS been very video shy but I am thinking about conquering this little fear of mine.
