My favorite favorite favorite foundation for the winter is definitely the nars all day luminous weightless foundation. If you want something light and easy for on-the-go moments, you need to try this one out for the winter because this time of year tends to make skin super dry. So to avoid that flaky, furry-looking foundation (I know ya'll know what I'm talking about!) then go with a lighter formula.

It really reminds me of rihanna's fenty beauty pro filt'r matte longwear foundation because they're both very light. The difference is that rihanna's product is liquid to powder and nars is more liquid to matte in my opinion. When it dries, it feels like a water color, very soft, smooth and appropriate for cold weather. I don't have to worry about transfer.

MY GO-TO WINTER DAYTIME MAKEUP

You guys, I'm in love with the nars foundation because it matches my skin tone perfectly! Since I've got a tan complexion with caramel and yellow undertones, I need something that evens out every layer. This season, I like very sleek, natural, blush toned makeup for both the eyes, cheeks and lips. I've also updated my eyebrows to create a more defined, slightly thinner shape. No falsies, just black mascara and a good ol' lash curler. Finish off the look with a finishing spray. I used mac fruity juicy prep + prime fix+ coconut! It's not available in stores, so I found mine on ebay because I really wanted the coconut scent. :)

MY WINTER NIGHTTIME MAKEUP

For the nighttime look, I do a golden lid with a dark nude lip with a little more liner than usual. I add highlighter on the nose and cheekbones of course but just not too much. I try to evolve every year and develop my own signature style. I'll be able to look back on all my makeup looks and share them with my daughter (or son) one day! The older I get, the more muted and effortless I like to be.
