I went for a sleek & effortless look here. I really like to feel comfortable nowadays without having to put so much into what I'm wearing, especially during the summer when it's 100 degrees. I like to think of my style as being focused more so on mixing elements, while pairing the unexpected.

I really love what she puts out and creates as a designer, her line is uplifting, raw, unique, its about the female power. She's knowledgeable and knows her history, melody gives voice and spotlight to the movers and shakers throughout time who have devoted their lives to equality and justice.

That's powerful to me.

When I learned about her career, I realized just how important it is to do what you love. Going to law school was the "Safe option" for her, but art was her passion. I think it's inspiring to know that she followed her heart regardless of the pressures.

I enjoy reading her emails and especially her celebration during women's history month, praising women like olympian florence griffith joyner, feminist poly styrene, model yesmeen ghuari, and social activist grace lee boggs. Those stories spoke to me the most. It connected me to the past, and made me want to care. I enjoy reading about ideas from different perspectives. And I like to be informed, melody is inspired by the positive people who have left a mark on the world. That is something that can never go out of style, it can never die.

She's also collabed with reebok and sanrio, two brands that I adore! I'm a reebok girl forever. I love the m.E. Sporty vibe as always, everything is curated for a woman who is strong and not afraid to speak her mind. One day, while browsing her site, I saw yara shahidi wearing her collection, and I thought, omg, I love it so much more! Her jewelry is super cute and I love her new me x reebok military shirt dress.

Often times I find it hard to write about designers because I want to understand their concept before I speak about it. Plus not having any fashion or design degree, I feel like I don't have the words. But with her brand...I find the words! Easily.

One day, my wish is to visit her showroom. In the meantime, I love to support her work and artistic vision.
