Boost Your Immunity | Dr. Sebi Inspired Sea Moss Gel Recipe

BUILDING IMMUNITY ONE BITE AT A TIME

as many new developments have rolled out since the start of 2021, i know that we have a ways to go in terms of fighting the pandemic. and I am certainly no medical expert but I do believe that there are some small ways we can keep ourselves strong. i think there is a lot of good that can come from keeping our immunity prepped and as strong as possible no matter what is taking place in the world. I want my friends and family to stay healthy and happy so I’m excited to share this new collab with my dear friend and environmental activist, liomari! last fall, we teamed up to shoot a how to on a special irish sea moss gel recipe inspired by the beloved dr. sebi.

irish sea moss contains polysaccharides and carrageenan which aid in building good gut bacteria, lowering hypertension, and reducing inflammation. one other really unique property of sea moss is the amount of minerals it contains. dr. sebi once said “Do you know? Your body is made up of 102 minerals. Sea moss contains 92 of 102 minerals your body needs.” this means that irish sea moss is the perfect superfood because it supports vitality and immunity. sea moss is a micro-algae that grows all the way in the caribbean to the shores of ireland. it’s harvested worldwide now more than ever because it has been known to treat flu-like symptoms and chronic illnesses. because of this, I’ve been using this recipe to help me stay strong and energized.

the best part about this recipe is how easy it is to incorporate sea moss gel into your diet. as a longtime vegan, lio is extremely knowledgeable in sustainable cooking and how to get your daily vitamins into the food you’re already eating. she explains how you can add the sea moss gel to salads, in sauces, dips or on top of other healthy, hearty dishes. all you need is a teaspoon, we don’t recommend more than that since it contains lots of iodine! please always be sure to know how much sea moss is right for you as it varies from individual to individual. I hope that you’ll make some moss with your family and try it for yourself. let me know what you think!
